Hello

I am new to the site also, just moved to Tennessee and looking for fun things to do here.

Does anyone know of any clubs or trials near Nashville?

Thanks

What kind of dogs you got? There is a Middle Tenn GSP Club, also a NAVHDA group thats between Nashville and Chatt.

Well welcome! Our vizsla population on GDF is steadily growing... a trend?

Gun Dog Owners Start Going with Best Breed
Associated Press

A recent study has shown that gun dog owners are steadily reaching a concensus that the vizsla is the best gun dog breed available. Posters at the world famous gundogforum.com have laid out reason after reason for the vizsla's success and the result has been more and more vizsla owners showing up on the forum.

In related news, another study has shown that gundog owners are steadily becoming some of the smartest people on the planet.

Seriously, though, here's the closest info I could find from the Vizsla Club of America site ( http://clubs.akc.org/vizsla/clubs.htm ):

Gateway Vizsla Club

Debbie Baker
11592 Joslyn Ct.
St. Louis, MO 63138
(314) 355-6754
deyvizsla@ [nospam] att.net

Paula Murphy
5319 Stephens Lane
Durham, NC 27712
pmurphy@ [nospam] personcounty.net
The Vizsla Club of the Carolinas
http://www.CarolinaVizsla.org

And then there's Illinois, but it's based all the way up in Rockford.

Start looking and contacting the clubs nearest you and I'm sure you'll eventually find some more V owners around your area. It just takes working through a network of people who know other people.

I've always felt the press didn't do enough research and would only interview the people that would express their point.

I spent the first 23 years of my life in Nashville...I don't think there is a V club in Middle TN anywhere.

I think your closest club will be the Vizsla Club of Metro Atlanta. http://www.atlantavizsla.org/ .

That was my home club till very recently. They're hosting the 2006 VCA Nationals, BTW and yours truly has volunteered to be Master of Guns.

If you have questions, please feel free to send me a PM.

You might also want to get with Texrab on this site. He's in Mt. Juliet and is needing a training partner.

Best regards,
