I have enjoyed the website for months now, and I decided to make a post. From reading the boards, there is a great number of GSP, Britneys, pointers, and Vislas owners. I know the board and the site are about hunting dogs and the devlopment of the gun dog breeds and trainng to maximize potentinal. My question is this......Would it be ok if posted pictures of my pup's progress as he continues his training? The reason why i ask is that my 9 month old puppy is a SPCA rescue dog that my wife and I adopted at 5 months. The pup appears to be a Lab/border collie cross. I dont want to cause any trouble so I thought i'd ask before I posted any pictures from the pups pigegon training. I have been soo surprised by his progress in all aspects of his training that i had the urge to be a proud pappa and post pix of my boy in the field.

Keep up the good site!

I dont see why not its a gun dog. If somone dont agree its thier problem. I think i speak for everyone when i say I would love to see the progress and would look forward to updates. :D

We all brag about some fine dogs here! Yours should be no different!
I remember hunting with a half Collie half Brit. Looked more like a collie but found birds like a brit.
Here name was Bridget. She was the reason I got my first bird dog and it was a Brit

My first dog was a lab mix of some kind. He had a heck of a nose and got me started with hunting as well. Post those pictures. I think we all share something in common and that is the love of training and hunting dogs. You are more than welcome here.

Thanks! you've made me feel better. I need to get on the ball and get with the wife and get a new digital camera! we lost our digital camera 2 weeks ago during a rafting trip....... I'd rather not get into the details for its rather embrassing still.
I"m so exicted about how well he is doing. I'm thinking when he brings back his first pheasant i'm getting tee shirts made! ................... ok ok i'm sorry that was my attempt at comedy please forgive me

thanks for the support

Pictures and posts are what makes this site great. Quality of dog or its ancesters are not a judge of who can enjoy, learn, and even teach all of us a thing or two.

It's not how many breaths you have taken but how many times it has been taken away!

Has anyone noticed common sense isn't very common anymore.
