I was referred to this site by a current member and after reading the site for about a week have decided to join! I do not currently have a dog, but should have one this spring. I have a deposit in for a vizsla that will most definitely be a hunting dog, but will also be a house dog. I am looking forward to raising and training the pup and sharing in the progress.

My name is Justin and I am from the Columbus, Ohio area. Thanks!

Great to have you aboard. Who are you getting your Hungarian Shorthair (Vizsala) from? Lots of good people from ohio on this board, so we'll all have to get together....."pear"

I am getting the pup from the Keeton's of Cardington, OH. We have spent a lot of time doing research and making visits. I finally decided what I wanted and pulled the trigger. Now it's time to wait until March some time.

On the flip side, what part of WV are you from? I traveled that whole state while in college. I went to Alderson-Broaddus up in Philippi. I hope to move back to WV some day. My wife is from the Wheeling/West Liberty area. That means frequent trips to the meca - Cabelas!

Welcome aboard Justin. I am just East of Urbana so not far off. Cools dog and not very many of them but they seem to be getting more popular lately.

Buckeye, you won't go wrong with Keetons, I do hunt tests there, and they are great people with great dogs. Linda and Denny are straight up people. They have never met a stranger. I think you'll be pleased.
I'm just over the state line about 7 miles south of Marietta Ohio, in a town call Vienna WV. Spend almost all my time in Ohio, should just move there. Takes me about 2 hrs. to Columbus....."pear"

I know Vienna. I've been to Parkersburg, Marietta, Ravenswood, etc quite a few times. Ever hear of the West Virginians?

I was impressed with the Keetons and their dogs. They are onyl 45 minutes away from my place.

The West Virginians..... The A-B Choral Group? Yes I know of them, preformed with them many years ago at a choral festival in Philippi. That was way to many years ago. Almost before you were even born. Wow we don't need to go there....."pear"

Welcome
The Keetons are great people and have great dogs. Should be able to do what ever you want with one of their puppies.
