It's not how many breaths you have taken but how many times it has been taken away!
Has anyone noticed common sense isn't very common anymore.

Welcome,
Too bad you're not royalty, then you could be red, white and "blue". We respond well to those colors. What county do you hail from?

Welcome to the board. I look forward to seeing your dogs and hearing what methods you use for your pups.
I'd rather live on the side of a mountain, than wander through canyons of concrete and steel.

Welcome to GDF. Do you do any hunting near Tipperary? What do you hunt? I plan on visiting family near the County Mayo in a year, and wouldn't mind bringing the dogs along.

Re: hello from ireland
i do all my hunting in tipperary, just walk out my back door and i'm hunting. we hunt mostly pheasant, snipe, duck and some woodcock. there is grouse up the mountains about 5 miles away but i don't have the rights to shoot them but i train my dogs on them. would be interesting to see how your dogs would get on hunting hereElroy's Bandit wrote:Welcome to GDF. I'm neither Terry or Jim i'm afraid but Jim has a bitch at the moment i'd love to have. Think i'll just have to go for second best and wait for a pup out of her. Not too long now i hope. Just looked up your Aidan now, i have a dog with a little Ardbraccan in him

Looking forward to seeing pics of your dogs. Sally and Tweed belong to a friend but I have always enjoyed watching them in the field. I have an English and a Gordon now so the house is full but maybe someday I'll manage a red or R&W one too.
There are several completely different types of trials over here so explaining how any one format works would also require separating them.
