Newbie in greater Atlanta, GA

Hey everyone,
My names Chris, I'm 29 and new to bird hunting and gun dogs. I've owned Pitbulls my whole life but the new wife says no more. I got my GSP(Dexter) in November and have been working on training him to heal, come and whoa. I plan on taking him to Oconee kennels in the summer for a month long training course. I've only been hunting once if you'd call it that. I helped Dexter's mom train one weekend and got to shoot 3 Quail. I ran out the next day and bought my first shotgun, Franchi I-12. If anyone is looking for a student to teach in GA let me know. I work as a plumbing engineer for a small engineering firm in Atlanta and can usually get time off whenever I need it.

Chris,
Should look into the local NAVDHA group. They are a great group of people and get together often to train. Also, look into walnut hills kennel in the Northwest above Rome, maybe closer to Chattanooga. Good luck and welcome!
