I just joined this forum tonight and am very impressed with what I've seen so far. I have a year and a half old Vizsla that I've had for about six months. I'm hoping to have him ready for dove and quail and possibly other upland birds and ducks this coming season. I've had dogs all my life but he is my first bird dog and I've hunted since I was about 11 but not birds until the past few years. I grew up shooting rifles and handguns but have only been shotgun shooting for about ten years.
I hope to learn a lot and contribute as I can.

On the other forum we met you had an intro to birds question. There is some great info here, so use the search engine.
Equismith has had a couple of good threads on that topic with pics. There is also some great info on recall pens in a recent thread.
Yawallac has an interesting video showing dog work with use of launchers in the training forum I think.
