I found this site back in January after I put a deposit on my first hunting dog. I've hunted on and off throughout my life but not so much the past 4 years (got married and had a child). Really itching to get back into it.
Any ways my name is Matt, I'm 26 and am picking up a Brittany pup on May 17th give or take a day or two. I live about 2 hours south of Chicago in the middle of corn fields.
THis is my first bird dog. Had dogs as a kid, hunted with uncle and his dogs for birds, but this will be my first dog on my own.
In the few months I've researched this site I have learned a great deal of knowledge aready.
Of course being new to the whole gun dog thing I will try to contribute where I can but take it for what it's worth, I'm new at this. (Don't even have the dog yet)
You'll probably just get my opinions until I get some experience. They'll still be opinions after that I suppose too.
