Just getting on board

Post by sweetsong » Fri Dec 16, 2005 3:07 pm

Hi All,

I have been lurking around reading and leaning a lot. I have enjoyed the friendly conversations on this forum a great deal. My Wife and I have three kids. twins that are now 4 and a two year old, along with our 5 GSPs ages 12, 11, 9, 8 and a new pup 4 mo. I have forgotten how much work a little pup can be!

I am currently the director of Alternative Education for 3 School District along with coaching 3 sports (Cross Country, Basketball & Track). I try to get a little hunting in when I have time but lately that has not been as often as I would like. Before kids my wife and I were pretty involved in the German Shorthaired Pointer Club of MN participating in hunt test and field trials.

I hope everyone has a wonderful Christmas!

God Bless

Terry

Welcome, I just found this board a few days ago.

Chris Benskin here, treasurer of the GSPC of Minnesota.

Look forward to conversing here and seeing you at some events this year.

Banquet is March 11
Walking Field Trial April 14-15
Spring Hunt Test April 22-23
Spring Horseback Trial May 26-29.

The Central Minnesota Pointing Dog Club may be having thier first Walking Field Trial this spring also. I will inform you of any developments.

I thought my house was busy with an 8 and 4 yr old boy along with a soon to be 10 GWP and a 3 yr old GSP, but I think you have me beat!!!

Merry Christmas to you and your family.

Hi Chris,

Yah, it can get pretty busy especially in the spring when I'm coaching track. I am looking forward to getting involved in the walking trials with my new little GSP Greta this spring. Thanks for keeping me up to date.

When I sign up for membership in Aug. at the gamefair were the membership dues for the 2005 year for the remainder of the 2005 and 2006 year?

Thanks and Merry Christmas to you and your family as well!

Terry

Yes, any membership dues coming at Game Fair or after are good for the following year also. You are paid up for 2006, that's why I didn't send you a dues renewal card in November.
