Hi, my name is karen. I personally dont hunt... I train dogs but my boyfriend has asked me to learn how to train our puppy as a bird dog. Her name is Rileigh, she is not pure bred like im sure most of the dogs here are... She is a rescue, specifically what I call a "death-row dog". She came from a very high kill shelter, but shes absolutely gorgeous. We had her breed tested, iono how reliable they are but she definately looks like what they said which is welsh springer spaniel, american water spaniel, irish setter, american hairless, and dauchund. She is smaller than a spaniel or setter, and has a longer body. She is 4 months old right now and we expect her to grow to about 25lbs

See if a local trainer will have a look. If your pup has a nose, likes birds, likes running and is trainable; than you may have a potential bird dog on your hands.
