Hello from north fl

Post by birdyhunter » Mon Nov 12, 2012 10:30 pm

Hey guys I'm new to the forum but excited to be here. I'm a newbie when it comes to gundogs but I am having a blast working with my 7mo gsp cooper. We are learning side by side and every time he learns a new command or does something right, I take great joy in knowing I taught him that.
I have a lot to learn, but that's why I joined this forum. I look forward to getting to know you all and maybe one day i can have some of you down for some southern quail and duck hunting!

Welcome to the forum! I wish you the best with training your GSP. I've seen a lot of postings about group trainings and get togethers in your area. Don't be shy about sharing pictures of your pup!
Peace, it's what's for dinner!

I'm in union county just outside a little town called lake butler. I would love to get in on some of those group training session as I am the ONLY bird hunter that I know of around here. Quail are really starting to make a comeback!

If you're interested in field trialing or hunt tests, look up the Panhandle GSP Club. They do most of their stuff west of you in Quincy. Good folks.

That's a good looking shorthair you have there. I'm new to the forum myself but have been bird hunting behind dogs all my life. I don't trial my dogs either just hunt them. Put that dog in birds and he will make you a good one.
