Hello from Northern Utah

Post by royta » Fri Dec 21, 2012 2:58 pm

I've wanted a bird dog for a while, but it never worked out. My wife has been wanting one of those small fluffy dogs, but I wasn't too excited about that. The other day she asked how I felt about a Brittany. After a long four days, I've been given the go ahead. I think it will be the perfect combination of family pet and hunting companion.

Anyway, I'm looking forward to learning.

Keep us posted! I'm in the same boat. I've been really considering a French Brittany, i suspect for the same reasons you are considering a Brittany. Welcome to the forum.
Peace, it's what's for dinner!

I was in the same boat. Wife compromised on a Bird Dog if it was fairly small and would be good in the house. Once she saw the Brittany I was blessed with a pup. 7 months-old now and doing great, both in the house and bird training. Just need to keep them busy in the house and long walks because they love being out-doors and are full of energy. Very easy to train, and relatively "soft" so not much in the way of corrections. You won't be dissapointed.
