When you post a msg/reply, just below the area where you enter the text (below the "save/preview/submit" buttons) there are two tabs: "Options" & "Upload attachment". Click on "Upload attachment". You will get a dialog box that says "if you wish to attach one of more files enter the details below". There is a place to enter the "Filename" or you can browse your PC by clicking on the "Browse" button). Then you hit the "Add the file" button.laxhcky4 wrote:How do you upload a photo as an attachment?
Generally when uploading photos to boards they need to be small: less than 200kb. I don't recall the restrictions here but you may need to resize your photo(s) if they are too large.

Any idea why it is so big I have to scroll down on it? Do I need to resize again?

Re: How to post pics.
I'm far from good at this but what I have found to work is to make a copy of whatever pic you want and once you have the copy, right click on it and go to properties to see what the pixel size is. Then you can edit it to the size you want on here. I too had some that were too large and had to scroll down and over on. If you click edit on your own post, you should be able to delete and reattach a new photo so you don't have to type your message again.

Re: How to post pics.
Update: Photobucket is now charging up to $60.00 a month for pics to 3rd parties ( forums). Disgusting that they also eliminated all the pic sites used before the change.
That is why you may notice your pic gone from this section.
I've switched to Flickr and am slowly getting the hang of it. Others probably are using other sites. Maybe they could share what works well for them.

I started using imgur for sharing pics on the web. Works well and is pretty simple....and free. It's a drag that images posted with Photobucket are gone.

I have a step by step process for posting pics (GIMP)... thanks to Grey Ghost. It is not easy, but with practice should work fine. I will PM it to anyone who wants it.Just PM me.... Sharon

How do we post pic's folks ? I opened an imgur account the other day and tried to post a pic however all I could get it to do was post the url code. I wanted to preview the photo before posting but all I could see was the Url . I must be doing something wrong . Obviously I guess

Re: How to post pics.
Max, did you right click on the image in imgur and select copy image address?
I resize the pic to 600 pixels on my computer before I save it to imgur. That makes it the proper size to begin with. Then copy the image address and paste it into the insert image tab.
Pretty simple really.
