Hello! I'm Sherri D. and I have a German Wirehair Pointer named Sterling who is 4 months old, (picture attached.) We plan on breeding him with his dads GWP next spring. I wanted to join because whenever I "google" a question about dogs or the breed in general I always see this forum. The boyfriend has had dogs all his life but this is my first dog in 22 years, (last one I had was when I was 5!)

I look forward to getting to know everyone and exchanges tips, tricks and stories!

Hi Sherri. Welcome. Just curious, why are you planning to breed this dog already? I think you will find that most folks here will question that decision. If he was a proven dog that would be one thing but to just buy a pup and then state that you intend to breed him willy-nilly may raise a lot of eyebrows. Just fyi. Good luck to you.
