We fell in love with the Blue Picardy after meeting our breeders 4 dogs. Out of the gate, I know this is not going to be the hunting machine a GSP is, nor is he going to go to bed every night dreaming of retrieving like a lab. We hunt about 15-20 days a year, and my main priority was a good family dog that might be a good hunting buddy.
We hunt waterfowl at public refuges in California and Oregon. We also hunt upland- pheasant, quail and chukar.
Our puppy's name is Bleu Remington Gun Thunder- Remi for short. He was the largest in the litter and will probably end up around 60-70 pounds. He is obsessed with anything that smells birdy, and so far he is doing great with retrieving.
