Hello everyone,
I just joined, and this is my first post.
I'm originally from upstate New York and grew up hunting ruffed grouse (hence spot shooter)...
My family had a few Brittany's when I was growing up, but I never hunted behind them because we stopped having dogs due to the fall off in pheasant populations in upstate NY, so I hunted grouse the hard way. My aunt did / does have a kennel and she has labs, I used to break here hunting line in on birds (I am the big Hunter in the family I guess).
I was military for over a decade, got out went to college up at Iowa State... Managed to get a Viszla and do some pheasant hunting. I lost "Tali", my vizsla about 6 years ago, and finally got over the loss. I now have a brand new 5 month old Brittany .. (Remie) who is ready to start on birds, and pointing.. I need some guidance & help here so I happened on the forum and wanted to join.
So that's me in a nutshell for the most part.
I'm trying to hunt down some pigeons or Quail for training here in N.E. KS.. Up by KC right now.
I just got a Garmin Alpha with a TT15 mini - nervous about what he's going to do the first time out.
Here is a picture of Rem.. Next to my wife's 16lb mixed breed lap dog...
I guess the picture is too big... So I'll post a link

Thanks,
Spot
