Mid Michigan newcomer

Hello, I recently rescued a 5 year old Griff that I'm hoping to be able to hunt with. Even if that doesn't work he's a great dog with lot's or personality. I'm hoping to learn all I can about training methods and equipment. Although I have owned dogs and hunted all my life I have never really trained before so we are both a work in progress. He does show great prey drive and isn't gunshy, but he was never hunted before.
