Perfect Pedigrees Update

Post by grant » Sun Jan 07, 2007 4:45 pm

Hi Everyone,

In my "spare" time, I'm making some changes to perfectpedigrees.com. It has a new search feature on the front page and once in the admin panel, you can select GET HTML, which will give you them code to put into your webpage or signature.... It should look like this:

<table width="300" border="0" cellspacing="0" cellpadding="4"><tr><td width="75"><a href="http://www.perfectpedigrees.com/genview.php?id=58"><img border="0" src="http://www.perfectpedigrees.com/picture ... /td><td><a href="http://www.perfectpedigrees.com/genview ... 58">Snip's Rage-N-Kage JH<br><a href="http://www.perfectpedigrees.com"><font size="2">Get your free pedigree!</font></a></td></tr></table>

I don't know how this will workout, but we'll see. I've also had some feature requests for the abiltiy to add more images etc.

just wanted to point out that if HTML code is OFF in a users profile, it just shows the code you typed. HTML code os OFF by default, so go to your profile and make the change to see the links to the pedigree.

Grant,

I love your pedigree program. It's very easy to use. Any plans to add a 5th generation? Plus I am limited to two dogs in my signature without some code modification because of the signature length limit.

1. Go to http://www.perfectpedigrees.com/
2. Log in with your username (e-mail) and password.
3. Select the pedigree to edit. This brings up the edit page.
4. At the top of the edit page, there are directions about how to remove a picture and how to upload one.
5. So, check the box and click the "Save Changes" button. That will remove the image.
6. Follow the instructions to upload a new picture: click the "Browse..." button and find the picture and click OK.

Best regards,

It keeps telling my my signature is too long. Am I doing something wrong?

I can either make the signatures bigger, or you can remove some of the text....

Hi Grant,

How do I change my email address in the log in area? I have a new email address:
terry.singsank@meekercoop.net

My old address was:

Thanks

Grant,

Just a suggestion. You could start with the parents in the table, rather than the current dog. That would save a column and then add a 5th generation. :)

Something else that would be nice is a place to put your email address so other could contact you and/or a way for people to post comments to you pedigree page.
