Policy on leaving GDF

Post by Greg Jennings » Thu Jan 06, 2011 8:11 am

Just a quick note to explain a long-standing, but, till now, unwritten policy.

Everyone is free to complain about GDF policy. We hash things out and keep in tune with the membership that way. I would *prefer* it if we did it in the Members Only forum...just to keep the family arguments in the family.

However, please be aware that when someone says "I don't want to be here anymore, close my account", their wish is granted without question.

Did I miss something? Has someone posted a request to do as such? This announcement seems out of the blue to me.

Don't think it's out of the blue. Several people have been asking about GDF policy.

This is one that we've always adhered to, but wasn't written down. I just wanted to get it written down while I was thinking about it.

Now, don't get me wrong, if someone is just blowing off steam and says "I'm outta here!", we're not going to delete their account. But, if they post or PM and say "Please delete my account", we've always granted their wish.
