Chicken Fried Bacon

Post by tommyboy72 » Sat Aug 21, 2010 11:58 am

This can be from a wild or domesticated hog. Take a piece of bacon, I prefer thick sliced bacon, and dredge in egg wash and then dip in flour and seasoning mixture just like you would fried chicken or chicken fried steak and then either deep or pan fry it till it is crispy and the coating is crispy. I never thought bacon could get any better until I tried this.

Tom it is crazy that you posted this, I was in Snook TX and went to Solodak's last Monday just for the fried bacon. I saw it on the food network and made a detour on the way to Austin to visit my brother, it was AWESOME! Doubt my heart feels the same!

Pretty good stuff!!! Tom's wife fixed some for us when we were down there last winter. Looking forward to seeing you Tom.

It has been a while since I have been on the forum due to computer problems and I was starting to go into withdrawals. :x :x
