My favorite dove recipe.
My favorite dove recipe.
Fillet the meat off of each side of the breast of the dove. Marinate in K.C. Terayaki marinade for 2 hours. Bread them in flour, egg, and then shore lunch. Fry them for 2 min and 30 seconds in 350 degree oil. Dip them in a sauce made of plain yogurt, garlic, salt, pepper, horseradish, and fresh squeezed lemon juice. Enjoy! Also a great way to eat duck. Cut the duck into "duck nuggets" and follow the dove recipe.

Re: My favorite dove recipe.
Well I have been cooking dove for a long time. My way is simple and the kids eat it and Dad get left out. Been using this recipe at the Fire House for 20 years now.
Dove de-bone from breast
Soak the breast in milk over night
rinse breast with water and dry
Dip dove breast in to a mixture of eggs and milk. Beat eggs and milk
Italian bread crumbs and flower into a zip lock bag and shake
I usually add salt pepper and Pappy's seasoning.
Fry until done approximately 4 to 5 minutes until done.
Goes great with mash potatoes and gravy.
Or you can dip them in barbecue sauce or hot mustard sauce
Yum Yum
