Seems to me at some time in my life I ran across a recipe for Grouse and Pears. Can anyone help me out?

Thanks. I am currently in the U P of MI and got lucky on Grouse. I have a jar of canned pears from this summer with me and wanted to do something special for some friends I am with. I think I will go with the recipe that uses the heavy cream. I might be able to even post some pictures of how it turns out.

For what it is worth, this is what the finished product looked like in the camper out in the middle of no where in the U P of MI.

It tasted as good as it looked. The only thing I had a problem with was I did not get sauce thick enough.

It was VERY tasty. I just wish that the souse had turned out a little thicker. I just like my stews, Gumbos, sauses on the thick side.
