I just got them in the mail today and they look and work great. i am taking them hunting this weekend but have already mounted the brackets on my garage walls. I will hunt both saturday and sunday. Will I need to charge Saturday night or will I be fine on one charge for the whole weekend?

Weeks depending on how much you use it.

I got mine last Thursday and have used it a few time already and it seems to be holding well....Everything I have read sounds like you can get some time out of it.

I left mine on all weekend by accident once. Didn't have any problems.

I have a g2 and I have mine on for about an hr a day and I have not charged it in about 3 weeks or so.

The battery life is awesome.

I had a Pro 200 G1 and now I have a G2 Pro 500 2-dog. I'm pretty sure that the collar units are the same. I think it's safe to say that you're not going to have any problems over a weekend

The G3 unit is different from the G1 and G2, but I would hazard a guess that unless you were using it an incredible amount, you're not going drain it over weekend.

The key is how much you use it. It won't use enough battery to speak of unless you're transmitting.

The recievers are the same for the g3 and g2's and they last a long long time

I use mine a lot during trining and will charge them once a month whether they need it or not and most the time they are still going strong but..it is just a habit

the G3 tranmitter which uses a 9 volt that will last about 11 plus months besure when you replace it use a quality 9 volt battery don't replace with cheap ones spend the extra so it will last my first battery lasted just shy of a year the second battery which is still in there is over the year mark on when i put it in...so not bad at all

The G3 uses a 9 volt battery for the transmitter, and the battery that came installed in the new unit lasted for about three months of daily use. The collar receiver lasts for days, even with frequent use, and I've never seen the LED turn yellow.
