pigeons?? what is going on?

Have a hen sitting on 2 eggs. Marked date she started to set. Hatch should be 3/18. Yep , got a hatchling but also now have 3 eggs in the nest. What is going on ???

Probably have 2 hens mated or possibly if you are short of nests another hen may have laid in another's nest.

Has anyone noticed common sense isn't very common anymore.
