What would you do?

I have 2 small pigeon coops - 1 that has birds that have been with me for a year and recall perfectly and 1 coop that has birds that have been relocated and in there for a month.
It's time to turn the newer pigeons out and see if they will stay around. Would you turn them out with the older pigeons? Or turn them loose separate?
