KTM 450
Looking at buying a dual sport KTM wondering if there's anyone out there that has owned one and what the pros and coins are.

Re: KTM 450
I haven't owned one, but have heard they are pretty bad. Yamahas 250 is to small, Hondas 650 is to big, and I'm not a big fan of suzuki.
I think the ktm is a good choise.

Very good choice, Excellent Motorcycles. Just be sure you have a dealer or shop that can service it. Husqavarna is also a great choice for this type of motorcycle.

I have only road Honda's and yamahas, but for dirtbikes i would suggest 100% a honda 230, or a 450 depending on the size you want. I hear ktm is really bad and they break down, but never owned one.
Cant go wrong with a honda

I've had many Hondas but they just don't have the power and mobility that the KTM has. Don't get me wrong Hondas are great bikes.

I'm wanting a dual sport to save on fuel. its cheaper then my truck.
Re: KTM 450
Honda, kawasaki,Suzuki, yamaha, ktm any of these and a few more companys that make the kind of bike you are looking for will have something that is nice and dependable so just pick what you like or can afford. Do not get trapped in brand loyalty, i have rode and owned many two stroke dirt bikes and all of them were a blast to ride and i along with 95% of everyone else who rides them are not talented enough to nit pick the faults they have.

They are very nice bikes, but like others on here have said, don't shop for the brand name. Just like a shotgun, just because it fits one person doesn't mean it will fit you. Shop around, ride as many as you can, and then buy the one you like best.
