I really didn't care who won the game, but for the lions to lose, largely in part to the refs dropping the ball, sort of stunk.
I did get some enjoyment out of seeing Suh crying at the podium though!

They were gonna lose anyway even without the flag pick up.

Doubt it, but none the less it would have been nice to see it play out without the refs. Even if picking up the flag was the right call, Dez Bryant should have been flagged for unsportsmanlike conduct for entering the field of play to protest and not wearing a helmet, 15 yards 1st down Detroit.MGIII wrote:They were gonna lose anyway even without the flag pick up.
Dallas held so many times on TD drive they looked like a hockey team fighting on the ice, yet no calls except on Detroit.
The only people besides the refs that don't see this as wrong are Dallas fans in denial.

No such thing as face guarding in the NFL.
Piss poor under thrown ball. If the linebacker had been turned around it would have been a pick.
If the reciever would have stopped for the ball, the linebacker would have run into him and he would have got and kept the penalty.
The reciever grabbed, then pushed off.
Cowboys get called for running into the punter. 5 minutes later the Lions do the same and no flag. The entire first half calls were in the lions favor.
There are missed calls on every play of every game. It's part of it. As for the dez thing well yeah they missed it.

Not a fan of either team but it easily could have been called pass interference- nothing to do with face guarding.
- holding perhaps - the head of the NFL refs says he could have supported either call but once the flag was thrown it should not have been picked back up.

There is no doubt a penalty could have been called on that play. I won't deny that. People just can't blame the outcome of the game on that one play.

Yes- I would certainly say though that a late blown call is more important than and early blown call.
Re: My condolences to any Lions fans!
So, how do we know what pass interference is. If the ball is underthrown and hits the defensive back in the back does he have to let the receiver run through him..................Cj

PI or no PI, Bryant still should have drawn the flag for coming onto the field to protest.

But there was no flag so the game is over. On to the next one.GmanHawaii wrote:PI or no PI, Bryant still should have drawn the flag for coming onto the field to protest.

Re: My condolences to any Lions fans!
Totally ludicrous to blame the outcome on a blown call. How about the 4th and 1 that ended up a touchdown against the NFLs best rushing defense? Did the lions exexcute every play to perfection? No dropped passes? No incorrect routes? No penalties that extended a possesion? Of course not, just a blown call! If I'm the lions coach I want them to focus on the things they did wrong, and forget about the refs. I don't believe any game ever hinges on one play, one call, one anything.

Don't forget that dirtbag Suhs standing on Rogers leg TWICE and not getting ejected for it.
