Garmin 550 pro plus

Post by Max2 » Fri Jul 19, 2024 6:12 am

Hello everyone and I hope all are doing well !
Recently I have been experiencing issue with my pro 550 plus and was wondering if anyone else has had this issue ? It appears that the problem may be in the dial switch on top . If I place it on the V it states it is in the locked N position. Place it on the number 1 and I get tone or vibrate . I then placed the collar around my leg and tried all setting numbers and get nothing for corrections . I updated the collar and its up to date. I had dropped it a number of times and that may be the problem but not sure.

I have the collar on him daily but rarely have to use it to correct him so not sure how long this has been going on. With the season coming up I want to be up to date for safety and piece of mind when in the field . Anyones input would be greatly appreciated. Also if anyone can reccomend a place for repairs or testing of this unit that would be greatly appreciated. I know of collar clinic and have dealt with them in the past with other older units but as of yet not reached out to them. Just wondering if there is any other places to look for repair work or if they are the only game in town. I'm located in upstate NY and wondering if there is anyone closer ?

Thank you in advance and Axe and I send our best to the board !

Back when I ran a lot of dogs, Garmin replaced all of my old receivers for free. Most were past warranty.
Have not had a problem for a long time now, so I don't how they are now........Cj
