I love trying different beers, what beer do you recommend?

My recent favorite is Moo Joos from Brau Brothers Brewing.

I try and pickup a new 6 pack of beer each week....kinda fun.

Here we have some good little breweries.

Small batch company Main brew company owned by Klebans. ( I think that is right.) I have only had these just once but really liked them. I had them at a hunt camp. Zoe, dark beer. and Peeper an IPA type.


Shipyard is pretty good.
Allagash Is real good.
Gerry's not sure if it is brewed in Maine.

In Mass. Samuel Adams which you can get all over the country.

Any Bell's beer.....but especially Oberon, available spring-summer

If you like a 3.2 beer (That's all they brew down there) Utah Wasatch Brewing's Polygomy Porter isn't bad and the ad campaign is a riot.

I'm partial to the dark ones in a premium beer - I call them 'meals in a bottle." The best are so thick you almost have to chew them.

Agree, rkrappes. Beer is good. Pretty sure it was Ben Franklin who stated "God invented beer because he wants man to be happy."

Kodiak Island Brewing Company. Anything they make is good.

Great Lakes makes a wheat-based beer that I cannot remember what it is called, but I have only had it at the brewery and I like that one pretty well.

Sam Adams on tap in Boston is the best. I like their spring brew and fall brew the best.

I enjoy Yuengling Lager. It's a Pennsylvania brew and holds the title of "America's Oldest Brewery." MMMMMMMMM!

I like the Lager Light from Yuengling for a "project beer". Meaning, this project is a 6-pack or this one is a 2-beer project.

They just started selling it in Ohio not long ago.

Sam Adams Octoberfest is pretty good, but isn't around long enough.
Try Smithwicks if you like the darker beers. Not as "stout" as Guinness.

I tried Innis & Gunn about a year and half ago, after a day spent at a hunt test, and it has been my favorite ever since. It has a very interesting and unique flavour (it is 'aged' in barrels that were used for rum, scotch, etc) - the Original is my favorite. I have only seen it sold in singles, so don't know if you could get a six-pack (though you could buy 6 singles )

Love Yuengling, that's my everyday beer - the stuff I drink regularly, that I buy by the 12 pack or case. Yuengling opened a brewery in Tampa about 10 years ago, so we've been enjoying it down here for a while. I hear the delay on selling it in Ohio was that Yuengling wanted to build another brewery to accommodate the predicted massive increase in demand - no kidding. Them Ohio folks are a bunch of drunks. At least all my Cincy relatives are.
I also was just told that Yuengling passed Sam Adams as the largest American brewery.

As far as specialty beers go - Samuel Smith's Oatmeal Stout is my favorite.

New Belgium Brewery has some good stuff. Fat Tire is pretty good, although I like their 1554 dark ale better.

I'm generally not a fan of wheat beers, but one I do like is Blue Moon.

There's a small brewery in Tampa called Cigar City Brewing. Pretty good stuff, but I don't think they're distributing outside of the state yet. They make a pretty good IPA.

Alaskan amber is hands down my favorite beer. First learned of it when I was living in Alaska and was really missing it here in MN until they started selling it here this year!

I've not tried that one but then I'm not a big stout fan. Bell's Winter White is excellent as well, as is their Octoberfest

I was in FL and looked everywhere for it and couldn't find it. No one even knew what I was taking about. I was in Tallahassee area.

Well, if you are having digestive problems, I believe it can act as a laxative...

I need to get back to work, might track down some more to add later.

Straubs in Pa is a quality product for any garage mechanics projects... not that i'm a big beer drinker these days... but as a youngin' I sampled my share... at the brewery in St Mary's they have a tap that you can go in and drink at for free!.. no take outs, cept in yer gullet... haven't been there in years but I think it's still open...

So many to choose from! I'll narrow it down to just a few: Russian River Brewing's Pliny the Elder, Deschutes Red Chair, Ninkasi Sleigher, Rogue Arrogant "bleep", and 10 Barrel Sinister. However, my all time favorite is the Blue Label Chimmay from Belgium, those monks know how to do it right. Then again, I guess they really haven't had much else to do the past few hundred years

That being said, I'll drink any kind of fizzy yellow beer you put in front of me, happily!

It started being carried by Fresh Market and Whole Foods - it might not have spread to Tallahassee yet, though. It's small and is just starting to increase its distribution.
The brewery is located in maybe an 8,000 square foot warehouse. The best thing about it is they have a tasting room right next to it, where they serve all of. their own brews plus a couple of other specialty brews that they rotate every month. Plus, you can get big growlers to go.

My two favorite Wisconsin beers, which I support alot are New Glarus and Stone Cellar beer. My favorite New Glarus is Spotted Cow and Stone Cellar's Stout is probably the best stout I've ever had. And an added bonus is the brewery is only 5 miles from my place. A real good German beer I like is Hacker-Pschorr. And for Belgium beers Delirium Tremens is really hard to beat. A bit pricey, but if you're looking for an excellent beer it's right at the top for me. There's just too many good beers out there to name them all.

I went up to Brau Brothers a couple years ago and had some of their Cream Stout. One of the better beers I have ever had. It was thick, good taste and didn't bite. I was working on eating one of their Austen Burgers, so I didn't try any other beer. Haven't drank in over a year, but generally I am a Killian's guy.

Their summer ale is great but their winter ale is just awful. They brew it with spruce needles or something like that so it's really piney.

Kodiak Island had some kind of Pine whine that I had. It was like really thick heavy beer, but had a piney/nutty taste that was very unique. It was good ina brandy snifter. I had a couple glasses while I was there and it was better to partake as a wine.

I'm surprised no one has mentioned Guinness on tap yet. While I don't drink a ton of Guinness, about every three months I get a bad craving for one. I'm currently in that phase.

Nothing beats a cold Coors Light (or 12) after a hard days work.

Shiner or Lonestar.

So many beers, so little time!

Shiner Bock is my favorite beer, most of their other beers are good too. Always look forward to the release of Leinenkugels Limited, should be a full time beer. Locally, Boulevard Brewing makes a really good wheat beer and Irish Ale. 75th St. Brewery makes the best wheat beer I have had, in this part of the country every brewery makes a couple different wheat beers, glad I like them.
