most trannie fluid is red. Clear oily is more likely coolant (looks oily sometimes) or engine oil - has your engine oil been changed recently?

If you just changed your oil...and the fluid is clear and oily - could be engine oil. Does it smell like engine oil?

Sometimes in a pinch if you just have a seal leaking, a half oz or so of break fluid will swell the seals enough to stop the leak..... works great on powerstearing pumps and trannies.

when something happens immediately after doing work on an item , I usually find that it is related to the last work performed, so I would check the oil filter and drain plug. Sometimes the gasket from the old filter comes of and stays in the housing. When you put the new filter on it doesn't seal properly.

Trans pans get the bolt holes squished up if over tightened so I used to pound them back using a 2x4 and a ball peen hammer. then be carefull on how tight you get it or the gasket will tear and let it leak.
