I understand that this is a gun dog forum, but how often does anyone see threads about anything other than bird dogs? I have never seen questions dealing with beagles, plot hounds, american fox hounds ect.

Gun Dog Forum....
Re: Gun Dog Forum....
I guess any subject could be posted but this is specifically a gundog forum. Hounds and retrievers occasionally appear. If a forum isn't kept specific anything can go, which is not what is wanted here. There are several "hound only" forums where you wouldn't see a pointing breed. Even those forums narrow it down to one kind of hound.
I'm sure Ezzy can explain this better.

Re: Gun Dog Forum....
We have never restricted anyone from talking about any kind of hunting dog. But when 990 out of each 1000 of the members own bird dogs guess what they are going to talk about. If you look back you may find something about lurchers and squirrel dogs, maybe even coon hounds but it won't be a lot. Fel free to ask whatever you want about any dog and I will bet it won't be the first time that breed has been mentioned.

It's not how many breaths you have taken but how many times it has been taken away!
Has anyone noticed common sense isn't very common anymore.

Before getting into birddogs I was originally into protection dogs, obedience, that sort of thing. Here are some photos of the only non-birddog I own, she's a Malinois. Some of these photos were failed attempts to improve a poor quality imagine to start with. I kept them because I like the photo, even if it is poor quality.
