Yep if you happen to disagree, you are automatically an idiot... Just the way the interweb works.

Sometimes you are so much of an idiot you get banned, like me.

Just don't disagree with the masses and you are a genius just like them. :D

There's more ways then one to train dog. Just because some one has a different opinion doesn't make you a idiot. Keeping a open mind builds knowledge

But most of us don't like people to pose as something they are not. CJ you may resume with your man crush and your feeder/feedee relationship. Lol

Most people on here know that I'm not very tolerant of people getting personal with each other. It's cool to argue ideas. It's not cool to flame a person.

For example "Using an e-collar on the dog while on point is a stupid idea" is harsh, but not going to get someone counseled. "John Doe is just plain stupid because he shocks his dog while it's on point" is going to draw adverse attention.

Well, CJ has 8 dogs so I think he must know plenty about dogs.
If you want to have a crush on a man I don't mind. Who is it?

CJ, I think you're right. I don't mean to get a rise out of people and when I post an opinion on something or ask people's thoughts on something I just figure they'll do something crazy, like answer the question. I mean, how often do you ask someone's opinion or method and expect them to throw a hissy fit?

Example:
Q: "I've always used an eCollar as a last resort or when a dog's especially stubborn. How do you guys integrate eCollars into your training?"
A: "That's the stupidest thing I've ever heard. Why not just use an eCollar from the start and head off any issues that may have arised? I guess you carry a bag of rocks and if your dog jumps a rabbit and decides not to come you run after him and try to hit him with a rock to get his attention  . Why don't you do us all a favor and act like like a good little socialist subject, just do what you're told, have the same cookie-cutter opinions and thoughts as everyone else and we won't bad mouth you or have a beef with you anymore."

Haha. I don't know why I get a rise out of people. ;)

I would answer this but the one pony circus might have a problem. Are you the feeder or the feedee. cj
Example:
Q: "I've always used an eCollar as a last resort or when a dog's especially stubborn. How do you guys integrate eCollars into your training?"
A: "That's the stupidest thing I've ever heard. Why not just use an eCollar from the start and head off any issues that may have arised? Sharon-
Maybe I am missing something but I really didnt see a personal attack in Stonefaces post. If there was then the appropriate response would be applied. Hard to do anything when nothing is seen though.

I tried to highlight the offensive part. It is not what Stoneface said. It is the post that was sent to him starting with, "That's the stupidest thing i ever heard >> Why don't you do us all a favor and act like like a good little socialist subject, just do what you're told"

It seems to me that the people with the offensive and/or sarcastic replies are just a few and mostly the same ones everytime. The vast majority on here are sincere and willing to help and share information. There are also a few who just want to play devil's advocate on almost every topic. JMO.

Sharon, if it was in a PM sent to stoneface the mods can't see it to delete it. If it was posted in a thread the mods could, but it wasn't.

One more thing, it is said that there is no such thing as a stupid question and 99.9 per cent of the time this is true. But I have read a couple that I thought "is this person serious"? In that case, I just don't respond.

In the game of life, reputation does matter. I try to never say anything online i wouldn't say to someones face AND I learn alot about people from the WAY they answer posts and less from their actual opinion. If nothing else, it helps me filter those who I'd rather not deal with in this great wide world full of opinions.

Me too. I keep a list of those I shouldn't respond to unless I'm in the mood for sharp comments. It's a short list. :) I prefer to be placated.
