A friend of mine's Mom about the same age carry's also. Has a 9MM in her purse. Always has it. She defends her home with the shot gun as well.

She has been broken into twice, once she was at home and successfully fended off one set of the intruders with just the sound of the pump action from her hallway, she follwed them out the door as they were driving off and fire two rounds at them on there depature.

She also near made a felony mistake one day. She was in the District court and it dawned on her brother, to ask if she was carrying. She was so he escorted her out of the building. At that time there were not detectors at the doors.

About a year ago down near branson there was an elderly lady that came home and someone was in her house, she unloaded her handgun wounding them as they ran out and took off in a truck. During the news interview she said they were lucky her .243 wasnt loaded or she would have snipered them as they were driving away!!!

Heard a story about an elderly lady that was pushing her groceries out to her car & saw 3 men sitting in the vehicle... she pulled out her .38 snubby and chased them off... when she went to start the car, her key wouldn't work... that's when she looked in the next row over and saw her car... identical to the one she was sitting in! She went to the police station to report what she had done and found 3 very shook up guys who pointed at her and shouted "There she is!" LOL!

I'm embarrassed to say that I'm from Illinois, the only state that does not allow its citizens to protect themselves by allowing some form of carry (concealed nor open). Our politicians tell us it would be too dangerous. Ask anyone who's been beaten or mugged or robbed or worse in Chicago how that's working. Chicago crime is out of control. Some groups are now advising tourists to stay away from the Windy City because it's too dangerous.

Ya our state is pretty jacked thats for sure. Some of our politicians don't even live in Illinois. Maybe if they raise the taxes some more, raise the toll booth costs and work on some more roads it will fix all of our problems.

Freaking funny. You go, Grandma!

Of all the things that are messed up about Arizona politics, they actually got this one right. Grandma's don't need concealed carry permits to protect themselves here.

I can see the possibility for a combined organization ad campaign:

"Mess with me and I won't need AARP life insurance, but you might. I am the NRA"

My Grandma did shoot a guy, the men were out working and this idiot tried to break in the back door, Grandma got the double barrel out and loaded it up with 00 buck. She told the guy she had a shotgun he still tried to come in, so when that door opened she let both go, they found him 20 ft or so off the porch. She lived to be 97.

My wife has her permit now, she confiscated my high power..... I been real nice to her lately...

A cop pulled an old lady over for speeding. When the cop looked in, he saw a revolver on the passenger seat.
He asked if she had any oher weapons in the car. She answered that she had a 9 mm in the glove box, a 357 under the seat and a 12 ga shotgun on the back floor.
the cop asked her what she was so scared of.
her reply ----------------------------------------------------------------------------- "Nothing" !
