Spayed dog question.
Is there any truth to the statements about female dogs are less moody, a little more loveable, and end up being a little easier to train after being spayed, or is all that stuff just either myths, or maybe lucky things that happened by chance to a few random people? Thanks for dealing with this goofy question, its much appreciated.

I have never seen or heard of any advantages to early spaying making dogs better in any way but sure have seen many negative attributes from it.

It's not how many breaths you have taken but how many times it has been taken away!
Has anyone noticed common sense isn't very common anymore.

Re: Spayed dog question.
Thanks for the feedback, I have owned a few females but none were spayed. Is there a "best" time to spay a dog? I know that you dont want to do it too young, but do you have to wait for the first heat cycle or could you do it around the 1yr mark? *edit* Sorry for the female dog questions, I was assuming that I was getting a boy, but I have 3rd pick and there are 9 girls and 1 boy, so I have to consider that I may come home with a girl, which isnt so bad either

I would definately wait till she is physically mature so that means after at least one heat cycle and possibly two.

That is what I have been told by many people. I am waiting till her second heat cycle till I get her fixed.
