Dispatcher and Detention Deputy for a sheriff's office. Have worked as a reserve and full time police officer in the past. Also worked for several years as an industrial ammonia refrigeration technician, boiler technician, electrician and in electronics for major food manufacturers as well as a maintenance technician and equipment operator for a small municipality. Have bachelors in finance, business management and marketing as well. Currently going through the interview process with a major supplier of systems for the drug, research and pharmaceutical industry. Guess we'll see how that turns out.

Started out as a phone man (put a phone in a ladies kitchen and one in the bedroom , made sure they rang and you could make calls and everyone was happy). Now I am a phone man, internet tech, catv tech, computer tech, underground utility contractor, fiber optic splicer, and a whole lot of jobs I didn't sign up for back in 1977!!!

I'm a Full time student majoring in Wildlife Biology. Occasionally, I get contract jobs working for wildlife non-profits. I currently am a FT security guard contracted out to Chevron AMBU guarding their natural gas wells here in western PA. Three 12 hour shifts a week allows me plenty of time to play with my bird dog. also have been a volunteer firefighter for the last 6 years.

Information Technology manager. Sounds impressive doesn't it? Translate, I punch keys and sit on my keester. My degree is in Electrical Engineering, so I still can't figure out why I wound up here.

Karen, my wife is our Senior programmer and works with me, she has written the software our company uses to manage our inventory, roll counts, and she's responsible for tracking all product beginning to end throughout our process. Did I mention she also maintains our customized (by her) accounting software too?

Present job is IT engineer at a college in Nebraska, at one time I was ASE certified mechanic, worked at that 20 years went back to school to learn this stuff. Isnt as hard on my body as pulling engines. Getting old and am looking for the retirement button, but with a 10 year old son, probably will work till I die. Have some steers for eating, chickens for eggs and 6 shorthairs.

Professional bird nerd (i.e. wildlife biologist). It has it's awesome moments but mostly I do surveys and write a bunch of papers that nobody wants to have to read, including me  But hey, in the summer I'm outside about 50% of the time.

I'm another geeker. Currently I am the IT Manager, Application Development & Services for an online university. I design, build, and implement software and database systems. Before that I was in infrastructure/datacenter management. Also a grad student getting my MBA - Information Management degree. For fun I do some freelance consulting work on the side, have a pet software project I work on at home, and volunteer to build and maintain web sites for various non-profit clubs and organizations.
