Heater doesn't work, even after flushing the heater core?
Heater core is still clogged after I flushed it. Brand new blower fan, heater switch and thermostat. Let the pickup idle for half hour and one hose was hot, the other was cold. No biggie, I'll just flush it. I flushed the crap out of it, got plenty of pressure, so I started it again and let it sit for another half hour. Went back out and the return hose was cold. I disconnected it at a splice I put in earlier today and there's absolutely nothing coming through the hose. Nothing. Any idea?

Probably don't have any water in your radiator!

Anyone know where the valve is on a '95 Chevy 1500 4.3? I just got back in from looking for it and I can't find it anywhere.

not sure on 95 maybe under hood on firewall or in heater hose depends on if electric or manual controls

im thinking its electric on a chevy and could be either on the firewall where the hoses exit the heater core or it very well could be up under the dash.
The older vacuum systems were almost always on the firewall where the heater hoses exit the core.

I don't think it's where the hoses attach to the core because I replaced the core about a year ago and the hoses attach directly to the core, near the fire wall, under the hood. I'm going to have to take the fricken dash out, aren't I?

I just search 1995 chevy 4.3 heater control valve and came up with this
http://www.ebay.com/itm/Chevy-GMC-Picku ... 2601266%26
Normally they are on the engine side of the firewall.

I found that same photo in Google Images. I just can't find the stupid thing anywhere! Maybe I'll stop by an auto shop tomorrow or Tuesday and see if they can point it out. Maybe a Chevy dealer.

Re: Heater doesn't work, even after flushing the heater core?
Try and back flush it, remove both hoses and flush both the inlet and outlet. Some of the anti freezes make a sludge out of aluminum and it gets caught in the heater core. that part may be in the heater box under the hood? Look it up on a GM micro fiche site to see where it may be.
