Prayers Sent to those in Conn.

Post by V-John » Fri Dec 14, 2012 12:56 pm

A school shooting at an Elementary School... 27 dead. Many young children. I hope there is a special place in heck for the shooter.

That's horrible, Who was the shooter? Sorry I'm a little isolated right now.

24 year old son of a teacher. Most of the casualties, including his mother, were in her classroom. Nearly 20 children dead. Shooter's father found dead at home.

My heart goes out to all those parents. I can't even imagine how to begin to handle something like that. How do you go after kids like that.

How do we go home and explain it to our own children who are in schools like this every day. Prayers sent to those grieving and all of us who need to face the questions when we go home tonight!

Don't think any of this is correct.

It's not how many breaths you have taken but how many times it has been taken away!

Has anyone noticed common sense isn't very common anymore.

That was off the AP drop at the time.

20 kids are dead. Look on any major carrier for updates. I've seen too much of it.

Major news networks are notoriously unreliable for immediate information on events such as this. This, for example, marks the second time that the major news networks have wrongly reported the name of the shooter involved.

That said, I grew up the next town over from this town. It's horrible any way you slice it.

Had a possible similar incident thwarted when students overheard and reported a planned attack in a town near me today. Scary.

Is it just me or are the reporters a bunch of blood suckers. They were actually interviewing a child from the school and asking questions that should have never been allowed. Her mom was right there. Shame on her. I have played heck with my youngest, Emily. She is having trouble sleeping at night. Keeps asking if this could happen in her school. She has spent the last two days glued to my hip and sitting and snuggling with me every chance she gets.

Just a tough situation all the way around. I quit watching the news when they showed the picture of the little girl named Emilie, and her dad came out and talked. Couldn't handle it after that.

God bless them all,

Joe

Feel bad for the kids and parents, but imaging the EMC's the paramedics that go through this kind of stuff for their job? Im sure they knew the children and parents too.
