Rear visibility in a SUV with two aluminum dog crates?

I am considering getting two aluminum dog crates that fit in the rear of my SUV. My concern is visibility for what is behind my vehicle. I am more interested in the aluminum crates than any alternative, and all that I have researched prevent the rear view mirror being used. Does anyone have a similar set up and how do you manage it?

I forget the name but there was a crate manufactured for which all sides were bars...Summer something-or-other.
Not a noisy wire cage like a Kennel-Aire, tho that is what most folks use who fret over a rear view in a SUV.
Side mirrors are nice as is a crate with sides should pup express himself in sickness from either point of the compass.
Each to their own sense of trade-off.
