Killin frogs
Killin frogs
I thought some of you might find this interesting. One of the last big populations of Oregon spotted frog is in a marsh on the National Forest I work for. Recently some knuckle head introduced a small (so far) population of bull frogs into the marsh. Anyway, it sounds like a few of us are going to go do a spotlight 'seek and destroy' mission and try to eradicate as many of the bullfrogs as we can in the hopes that we can nip the population in the bud before it gets big enough to do damage to the native frogs. Looking forward to my first frog leg feast! Gotta love my job sometimes

I have a buddy who has a GSP that is a frog killing machine! She points the frogs first and holds point till she is ready to pounce. Maybe if you tried that tatic it would work for you also, how are your pointing skills?

The second kick from a mule is of very little educational value - from Wing and Shot.

Yes. The bullfrogs are much bigger and the color pattern is completely different. I think it sounds like fun too.RoostersMom wrote:Are the spotted frogs easily id'd from the bullfrogs. I would guess they would be. Sounds like fun!

put about 3in of flour in the bottom of a bag, season salt to tast add a dash of cayenne pepper. dip the legs in milk, then shake in the bag, ( I like to double dip myself) put in the fridge for about an hour then pan fry in butter.....

A limit on the strap is nice, but the kill has nothing to do with tradition.
