Our President Deserves an Award

Post by Del Lolo » Wed Feb 05, 2014 8:21 am

LBJ:
• We were attacked (in the Gulf of Tonkin)

Nixon:
• I am not a crook

GHW Bush:
• Read my lips - No New Taxes

Clinton:
• I did not have sex with that woman... Miss Lewinski

GW Bush:
• Iraq has weapons of mass destruction

Obama:
• I will have the most transparent administration in history.
• The stimulus will fund shovel-ready jobs.
• I am focused like a laser on creating jobs.
• The IRS is not targeting anyone.
• It was a spontaneous riot about a movie.
• If I had a son.
• I will put an end to the type of politics that "breeds division, conflict and cynicism".
• You didn't build that!
• I will restore trust in Government.
• The Cambridge cops acted stupidly.
• The public will have 5 days to look at every bill that lands on my desk
• It's not my red line - it is the world's red line.
• Whistle blowers will be protected in my administration.
• We got back every dime we used to rescue the banks and auto companies, with interest.
• I am not spying on American citizens.
• Obama Care will be good for America.
• You can keep your family doctor.
• Premiums will be lowered by $2500.
• If you like it, you can keep your current healthcare plan.
• It's just like shopping at Amazon.
• I knew nothing about "Fast and Furious" gunrunning to Mexican drug cartels.
• I knew nothing about IRS targeting conservative groups.
• I knew nothing about what happened in Benghazi.
• I have never known my uncle from Kenya who is in the country illegally and that was arrested and told to leave the country over 20 years ago.
• And, I have never lived with that uncle. He finally admitted (12-05-2013) that he DID know his uncle and that he DID live with him.
And the biggest one of all:
• "I, Barrack Hussein Obama, pledge to preserve, protect and defend the Constitution of the United States of America."

I believe we have a winner

Sooo, you don't think LETTING people work part time, so they can persue their dreams, innerself, will be productive for the country? I suppose you would send them back to work before their 4-5 years of unemployment is used up too!!

They don't. We frowned on it so we came up with the off topic forum and as long as it is kept civil I don't anticipate a problem.

How about we place blame where blame is due, good old George W Bush. You can't throw our country into a pointless war driving up gas prices 350% and sinking our economy like a turd getting flushed down the toilet; without taking the bulk of the blame. The last president to do any good was Clinton, he actually lowered the national debt by 9% , GWB raised it by 22%, and BO has raised it 17%. Sounds like you found a good old black scape goat to me, instead of looking at numbers. There is a reason they say numbers never lie.

Media propaganda and if a president can drive gas prices up, why don't your heroes who are in office now, drive them down???

If I remember right GWB froze gas prices after 9/11 . Prices couldn't go any higher than $2.00 a gal. for a year.

Ezzy what are they saying then, because I thought that was a pretty straight forward thing? Being a dumb hick myself, I would like you to explain how I misinterpreted?

Ms. Cage We run a fleet of vehicles at our company and keep gas records, if he froze them at 2 $ per gal, we never saw that here.

Same can be said about any politician. Think if they told the truth people would vote for them? I can imagine it now " Vote for me as president, and I promise to do absolutely nothing, sink our country deeper in debt, and raise government employees wages 50%, all while stealing from the old to pay for the drug addicts"

Actually now that I say it, I might vote for that guy because at least he is honest about screwing us.

Did you ever hear of the Glass-Steagall Act? Put in place after the great depression--to reign in the terrible --BIG BANKS? Under slick Willie, they were finally able to repeal this act, it had been tried 11 times before. The bill--The Financial Modernization Act, passed with bipartisan support. Now, the banks could merge and invest in things they had no business being in, "And if you don't want to modernize, I guess you're considered hopelessly old fashioned" Yes, under Teflon Bill, our economy was booming, and why not, if you didn't even have to have a job in order to get a loan for a house?Jeff Garten, who at the time had left his post as Undersecretary of Commerce for International Trade at the Clinton White House, wrote in the New York Times that if these new "Megabanks" were to falter, "They could take down the entire global financial system with them." And, now, a job is seen as a detriment to ones well being. I guess the brainwashing goes on and on---for those willing to listen to the---- scape goats!!---WHY WOULD YOU BELIEVE--ANYTHING THAT COMES OUT OF THIS ADMINISTRATION???? Unless, you are still compelled to blame BUSH!!

We have seen a substantial raise in profit the last few years. Our lowest point of profit in the last twenty five years was the last year Bush was president, and we have seen increases every year since Obama has been in office. Don't know if that is because of the type of business we run, or what the deal is. But our books are on the up swing, and I would be happy if it remained that way. And, I have my insurance paid for through my girlfriends work, don't cost me a dime :D

Blame George W. Bush for the mess we're in?? That is hilarious. Obama has been president for almost 6 years now. At some point he has to start taking responsibility.

Oh and how about telling your precious Obama to stop subsidizing his cronies in the "green energy" industry. I'm getting sick of seeing wind-mills and rows of corn in places where I used to be able to hunt birds

I did not vote for Obama but to say George W and his administration are not also to blame for the current state of this nation is a little naive. The decisions and problems made by administrations span beyond the term in which they served and i feel the current administration is leaving a giant "bleep" storm.

Look up technocracy, Look up Agenda 21, New World Order, ICLEI

Even hollywood has been prepping us. Really think about it

Obama like the rest are just political puppets in a bigger agenda.

In Casa grande Az there is a 1.7 million Square foot GLOBAL Dist. center being built. Oh yippe peole are clouded with 7000 plus new jobs HELLO Wake up This isn't 7000 American jobs yes x amount has to be slated for US and just who else will be moving in for jobs as there is only one other Distributuion center like this in the world and that is in Dubai, the main investors for Phoenixmart had to get EB5 Visas.
For me I look artound and am watching our agriculture being turning into mass housing and shopping developments sprawling out like mold on food :(

Not another Conspiracy! Who do you suppose wrote the articles for "The new World Order". That has been going around for decades and nothing has happened except getting ready. Can you imagine tens of thousands people being in on a secret and never spilling the beans when we can keep a secret if two people know it. \
Housing sprawl is a problem but is one that comes with an increase in population. Needs to be addressed though on a national basis and not just county by county like we are doing now.

I did not vote for Obama but to say George W and his administration are not also to blame for the current state of this nation is a little naive.
OH...GOOD WORD...PLEASE!!! WE...THAT'S RIGHT...WE are to blame. We keep electing the same idiots. The financial mess is the product of 50 years of the growth of the buy now and pay later culture that is
endemic in our country. The problem is no one has the stones to tell the US public what they need to hear...its easier to "blah blah" what folks want to hear. No politician will EVER be elected telling the public what their responsibility is in the scheme of things. Ever notice how that is never part of the discussion??? As long as we want to blame the idiots in Washington, we fall right into their game.

So what's the solution to these issues. We already know this country is way out of control. The towns all around my home town are financially distressed, cutting police and rescue staff, talking about trying to do away with pension plans already in place. I say the biggest problems facing this country are immigration, outsourcing of jobs and imports since almost nothing is made here anymore and pollution. And there is no easy solution to any of these. This is a question for the older and more experienced. Put us back on track, or at least show us the light...

Are you aware that the manufacturing output of this country has gone up every year except maybe a couple of the recent ones. We have lost jobs because we have robots doing much of the work people used to do. Look at any of the vehicle manufacturing plants and see how many people are on the production lines. I admit we need more jobs but most of them will be in the service line and not the manufacturing lines.

One and the same to me, WE elected them WE are to blame so what is your point ? I was making a point that everyone blames Obama and EVERYONE who voted for him for the current sate of our nation and acting like Bush and EVERYONE who voted for him are not. I agree 100% with the buy now pay later culture problem.
