... and gates?
A slab of concrete, curbing, laid neatly along the fence line? A strip of electric wire along the bottom of the fence? What do people here do to deal with problem digging dogs.
Down South they use that not-so-elegant solution of wiring strips of mesh fence laid flat along the ground to the bottom of the chain-link then staking it in. Concrete fence borders, curbing, may be more expensive but looks neat.

Best way, bar none... is to have the dog in a 6 ft high, 9 ga. chain link wire kennel with a concrete floor. If the dog is a climber, put a top on the kennel.
Never seen a dog able to chew through 9 ga. wire or dig through 4 inches of concrete.

your kennel is dirt dig Down about a few inches and put some tin down about 2 ft on the inside then cover it back up when the dog digs down and hits the tin he can't go no deeper the dog may try differantdrum spots but will give up trying to dig out

I just put my dog on the outside of the pen, and let him dig in, that way I won't care!

Take down the fence!

I pity the man that has never been loved by a dog!

Every time my boy digs a hole I throw a huge rock in it and fill the hole back up with dirt. He gradually did all of the digging for me and now he is unable to dig down far enough to slide out.

Similar to my approach. We have a large supply of porous, rough lava just south of town. I line the inside of kennel with large pieces of it. They try but they quit when they realize it hurts to do so.Warrior372 wrote:Every time my boy digs a hole I throw a huge rock in it and fill the hole back up with dirt. I put a hot wire along the bottom of my fence on pvc pipe posts, for a dog that was an escape artist. He touched that wire once. Never needed the charger after that.

Put his poop in the hole. It stopped two of my dogs from digging in the same spot
