Remembrance Day

Post by Sharon » Mon Nov 11, 2019 12:33 pm

Special day here in Canada and special day of remembrance for me. My Dad left Canada for WW2 in 1939. He returned in the spring of 1945, a shadow of his former self.
Thank you Dad for your sacrifice ; because of people like you we enjoy the freedoms of today.

Special day here in the U.S also (Veterans Day) I think of all my brothers who never came back from Korea. Thanks to our neighbors up north of us for their sacrifices also.

There is a saying...

We are free...because of the brave.

The freedoms and prosperity enjoyed in both Canada and the USA were, and continue to be paid for by the blood and sacrifice of the very best of us. Many over the decades have put it all out there so I might not have to.

To all who have served in the cause of freedom...my humble thanks for what you have given.

May we never forget the ultimate sacrifices that were made so that we could enjoy our freedom.
