Just a reminder to be careful when it comes to scams.
I just lost $2000.00 to a "refund scam"

I used someone for 2 years to fix my computer when necessary. I got an email saying I've paid too much , and they want to refund some money.... common scam I've learned ; I was stupid.
Of course they needed access to my bank account , so I gave them the number.
They returned some money , so it looked legit for a day or two.

Of course the bank can't help as I gave out the number.

Here are some known scams:

I'm sorry to hear that! That's getting so common nowadays. People have no morals anymore. My now late grandpa had someone scam him over the phone just a few years ago. The person who called him posed as his grandson who lived out of state. Said he got drunk, blah blah blah, somehow ended up in jail and needed someone to bail him out. He told Grandpa that he was too ashamed to tell his parents and would Grandpa please help him out? Poor Grandpa was probably so embarrassed of his grandson whom he previously thought so highly of, but he fell for it and the scammer got like $5K or something.
