Cocoa is a 3 year old female solid liver german shorthaired pointer. She is spayed and up to date on vaccinations and has no special medical needs. Cocoa needs a home without other pets and should only be with older children, as she has strong predatory drive and has exhibited aggression towards small dogs and cats.
Her current owners do not have the time to dedicate to her and are concerned about the safety of their new baby. She stayed with me for a week and I believe would excel at hunt training if given the opportunity. At this point she has channeled all her instincts into obsessively running a path in the backyard looking for something to hunt (she has been trained to come when called and can be interrupted) . While here she would show interest in and point a pheasant wing but I did not have the opportunity to get her on live birds. She does try to stay with you when off leash but her range is huge, and I only felt comfortable running her with a remote collar on (trained to head back in on the vibrate function). Cocoa is in incredible shape and has the endurance to run at full speed for hours.
