Browning BSS 20 ga. Sporter

Post by Dakotazeb » Wed Jun 13, 2018 3:04 pm

I'm selling my 20 ga. Browning BSS Sporter (English style stock). It has 26" barrels choked IC/Mod with barrel selector. The gun has had very few rounds fired through it and in like new condition. I would rate the bluing near 100% and the wood 98%. Just a couple very small marks in the stock. Price is $2,000 plus shipping. If interested and would like some pics please shoot me a PM.

My regular hunting (and sometimes clays) gun is a 28" 20g. BSS Sporter with Briley Thinwalls. This gun also has an oil finish.

It is an excellent gun offered at a good price. If you're thinking that you've seen a BSS, be aware that a Sporter is a much lighter sleeker gun. Actually, I have a 12g . too.

I have the same exact gun! They are great guns. They aren't making these any more so it should be a good investment.

Screw in chokes (I have Briley thinwalls) give this good gun a lot more flexibility and increase its usefulness for many jobs.

My 12g. Sporter is choked .05 and .15 for upland work, but it's a 12 with lots of ammo choices if I need them. With a 20, good quality screw ins in this gun make a lot of sense. imo
