Beer with a dog

Do you ever have a beer wih your bird dog after a hard days hunt?
Once or twice a year Rocket and I will have one on the tailgate when we get home at the end of the day. Just wondering if anyone else is as wierd as I am.

Though I dont like beer too much, so the mutts and I enjoy a bit of the Vino!

I don't share beer with the dogs, but when they earn a title, I cook a big, juicy steak for them.

I had a Setter once that would only place in a Field trial if she had a beer the night before. True story and a heck of a dog she was!

Hey, my GSPs a like beer every now and then,but my weimador dosen't she like a Pepsi instead.She did like Seagrams 7 though when alittle spilled on the floor one time.Do they have AA for birddogs Ha!Ha!

I'll never forget the day I got home from work and our new backyard deck was finally finished! When our GSP saw me come thru the garage door, she slid the whole way towards me. I said "what's with her"? My ex-husband said "don't suppose those three Heinekens had anything to do with it"? WHAAATTT? THREE? Sheesh. Well, I cut them slack, it was a hot summer job they just finished.....so I let the two of them enjoy their beers. That dog has helped him on every single project in our house. She's the house inspector, and "go-fer" dog! I got another two that like Bailey's Irish Cream, and only one wine drinker. Little drunks. hahaha

Our pup has only been with us a little over a month and already discovered the taste of beer. We had him with us at a party and people were setting their Beer on the ground. I looked up to check on our dog and he had a solo cup stuck on his nose. One of the moments you wish you had the camera.

Now when we crack open a can of beer he comes running. We don't drink much soda so he has associated the sound with beer.

can't say that mine's actually had a beer, but she will go get me a beer. Open's the fridge door, gets the beer from the door, brings it to me, then goes and closes the fridge door. Had to have some fun in the off season too ya know

We usually put back a six pack after the "six pack is on ice" though limits of chukar dont always happen there is a beer for every one we do put on ice. I do let my dog have one of mine helps him regain lost callories and get some much needed rest. Dont know if its good for him but he likes it as much as I do.
