Tenessee Walking Horses

Post by puppyduks » Tue Apr 08, 2008 5:37 pm

Where would I find an ex-trial horse? I want a horse that has been there, seen that, not spooky and used to dogs. Don't care about registration, looks, age etc. Not gonna be used for dog trialing, just a go-down-the-roads and trails horse. I am in California.

I know the guy who owned this and the present owner and this horse is bomb proof. IF you cant find anything closer it sure would be worth a phone call!

You need to contact Terry Zygalinski. I dont have his phone # handy but can get it for you. He is pretty good about matching a horse with its rider.

How big of a guy are you? How big of a horse you looking to get?

I am a gal, 5' nothin' and about 110#. I would like a smaller horse. I know how to ride, but am getting to the age where a safe and sane ride is my speed. No more herky-jerky cow horses, I want a smooth gait as well. :D

I am always looking for something better so if you are even slightly interested I might be willing to part with this little guy. He is 14.2 and a bit over the age of 5. I have put this horse through everything imaginable and the only thing he has balked at was crossing water. I got him as a very green broke horse (didnt know much but you could ride him). About the only thing I havent worked on was ground tying. He will road dogs, carry dogs. You can handle, scout, and gallery from him and probably judge from him. He has a ton of endurance as long as he is kept in shape. But if your not interested I will still keep riding him.

There is an absolutely beautiful TWH advertised in the latest issue of The Field.

He's only 17.5 hands high.

I started to call and ask if he came with an elevator.

Casper,

Nice pics. It looks like you took some weight off of your horse and it looks good.

It's not how many breaths you have taken but how many times it has been taken away!

Has anyone noticed common sense isn't very common anymore.
