Hey Rob,

I'm awful with fixing phoro's, usually just use the quick fix auto stuff. But I recently got a new Canon scanner that came with "Photoshop Elements 5.0" and if I ever figure it out I think it might be alright. About all I can figure so far is I can lighten shadows and bring out detail and darken highlights, I forget why I did that one. it's compatabile with Windows Vista and XP and a seperate disc for Mac. Now to learn something so I can try shooting in RAW!

Something about this photo that I just love. Only ten days left until we have to start deliberating again on a monthly winner. I know there are a lot of you out there with outstanding shots, please keep posting 'em up!

I felt the same way - at least for Jan and Feb. The guys with snow had an advantage, and the guys out west had even more of an advantage. But for the next few months we are looking for some "spring" photos, and they might actually be at a disadvantage. And in the summertime our coastal friends are definitely gonna have a leg up.

Bottom line is we haven't even come close to deciding on the final calendar layout yet. And if you all keep posting all these outstanding shots we will try and figure out a spot for as many of them as possible!

K9 is one step ahead of me. I have been thinking about this contest a little and one of the themes I realized I want to pursue is a shot with the dog and the firearm and/or bag. She already has the first submission for the month that we decide on that as the theme.

Love it!

Birdman:

Feel free to post pics of whatever you want. I started the contest as a way to get to see everyone's pride and joys. The contest then evolved to possibly become a calendar to benefit the gundog forum, so the winners will be picked from "hunting dogs".

But I have not received the go-ahead from the forum yet on the whole calendar idea, so I am sort of tentative on it anyway. Either way, I will continue to support the monthly contests and would love to see any pics that people have. It was supposed to be just a way to get people to send in their funny, great, goofy, serious, whatever photos.

Thanks,
Rob

Rob - question for the contest... Are you going to pick a March & April winner? Or can we take things one month at a time, because I don;t know about anyone else, but Utah is not ready for April! :)

I was also wondering if you were still planning on having a winner tomorrow??

There are some great photos here, I bet it gets harder each month to decide.

This may have already been asked but pics that were in serious contention do they need to be reentered for another months contest or is entering a picture once enough till calendar is completed
