When does your bird season begin

Here in WA grouse starts up at in sept. and pheasants aug. I can't wait to take my dog out for her first time. What about where you live?

Dove season in September 1st, Quail the second Saturday of November and Pheasant December 1st

chukars, quail, huns and sage grouse- middle of Sept
sharptails-Oct 1
pheasants-middle of Oct.

25 days to go and my two legged and for legged kids, Katie, Eric, Hanna, and Poppy and myself are at it again. Boy do I love this time of the year.

For Utah

Ptarmagin starts Aug 24th. Dove Sept 1. Grouse Sept 12th. Chukar, huns, Sage grouse, sharptail, and ducks all start the last weekend in Sept.

We then can hunt wild birds until mid Feb. Almost 6 months of hunting is about to start.

There is a club near me that opens 9-1. Unfortunately there is a slim chance of being able to use it until oct or nov when the temps really start dropping. WIth the high temps and thick fields my little lab heats up fast!

And then it is chasing grouse around Summit County in Colorado and waiting for the pheasants in October in Nebs...........

Heck tex I didn't even know Utah had ptarmigan I thought they only lived in Alaska and Canada. I sure would like to hunt some someday though.

Sharptail and huns Sept 12 in ND. Then Ruffed Grouse Sept 19 in Minnesota. Then Pheasant in ND and MN in mid October.
