Is the Beauty, Brains, and Birdsense Award the top award that your dog can get from the GSCA?

I guess it all depends as to what "trips your trigger". Here is a list of all awards available from the Gordon Setter Club of America:

Bench Gordon of the Year
Best of Breed Gordon of the Year
Brood Bitch of the Year

Gun Dog of the Year
Gun Dog (Retrieve) of the Year
Derby Dog of the Year
Puppy of the Year
High Scoring Advanced Obedience Dog
High Scoring Utility Dog
Black & Tan Obedience Challenge Winner
High Scoring Open Dog
High Scoring Novice Dog
High Scoring Novice Agility Dog
High Scoring Agility Excellent Dog
Beauty, Brains, and Bird Sense Award

They also "recognize" achievements in the AKC and CKC with a letter or pendent.

Nice orgainzation but a little scewed to the conformation side of the breed for my tastes.

In most books i have read on the G S they were bred by the old duke to hunt. My hope is that type of dog will come back to the forefromt someday.
I agree about the brains & birdability , somehow pretty wherw i hunt Means a magnet for burs & sticktites.
I know different people enjoy different types of events ,nothing wrong with that at all .
I for one would like to see moer in the direction of the field!!!!!!!!
