giving blood
giving blood
Has anyone herd of this? I was reading the news on my phone and they were saying that you can take your dogs in to give blood I wouldn't mind taking my dogs down some place and donateing blood if its anywhere close to where I live but the only place it said was lsu and they would drive a couple hours and collect the Blood. If anyone had any info on this i'd like to hear about it.

Re: giving blood
I used to do with it with my dogs, but haven't lately. Check with your Vet... there are mobile units that will come to their office.

Re: giving blood
I read an article about it a few months ago. I wanted to with Bliss. It was pretty neat, you got a whole bunch of free testing with the donation. She was over the age limit though I didnt have Tegan yet at the time...
Maybe call around to some local vets? The one I read about was a mobile unit.

Re: giving blood
There is (or was) a program like that here at Cornell. If you donated your dogs blood, you receive free visits, vaccinations, etc.

I'll do some checking around that wouldn't be a bad trade off with how much shots are
